The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board's (JAMB) registrar, Prof Dibu Ojerinde, while speaking at the 58th National Council on Education (NEC) meeting, last Friday in Abuja, announced that there might be no Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in some "volatile states" in North.
He added that the board was being forced to cancel the examination because of the Islamist terrorist sect, Boko Haram. The board has since stated its commitment to hold examination in those areas despite the security challenges.
